Active duty is a full time job, that means you get paid like it is too. Guard is part time so you’ll be lucky to even make $250-300 a month. And there is no guarantee that you can go full time with it. I don’t recommend anyone go guard or reserve unless they have a full life set up on the outside (well paying job, family, home, etc)
